Any toyota mechanics here?

Does any one know for sure if the 3.0 v-6 from a Camary would be a direct swap for a 3.0 v-6 in a 4 Runner? I realize the oil pan and exhaust manifolds will need to be swapped. My biggest concern is the major bolt holes will line up. Can anyone confirm this swap can be done? Thanks in advance.

I the 4runner is a 1992. I was hoping to use a 1995 or newer Camary engine.

Hi Bob_VT, the 4 runner is a 1995. Sorry about the confusion.
I know the 4 runner engine is 3VZE and the Camary's are 3VZFE.
I'm hoping the Camary wil bolt up to the 4Runner. I realize I may have to use the electonics from the Camary. If you could confirm this, I would really appreciate. Thanks again.

I personally have never seen a transverse engine swap to a rear wheel drive application

The techs say no. Sorry it took so long I was not near a computer today (not one with access)

Thanks for the update Bob_VT.
Could you check with the techs about what the physical differences are between a 3VZE block and a 3VZFE block.
Is it bell housing bolt pattern?
Crankshaft bolt pattern?
Oil pan rail bolt pattern?
Exhaust bolt pattern on heads?
Front engine where accessories bolt to pattern?
