Beeping noise

My boat has started to make a beeping noise and hopefully someone can lend some tips.

It is a 97 Hurricane Deck boat with an Evinrude 90 motor. The beeps are a few seconds apart. I tried timing them but they are not consistant but mainly a few seconds apart. It sounds as if coming from around throttle area but I assume that is just where the alarm is located.

Also, it doesn't start beeping right away. I can run it for a few a minutes before it starts to beep.

Any thoughts on what this may be and how to check for a resolution?

Thanks

James

Re: Beeping noise

Intermittant beeps are telling you there is a problem with the VRO or low oil in the tank.

Thx, I am not familiar with a VRO. I'm trying to research it now. Can you lend some assistance as well? Is this something that is within the motor assembly? A seperate piece of equipment all together?

Re: Beeping noise

You don't have warning lights on your dash? Mine are located on the RPM gauge. No, I don't have a deck boat.
