Anyone know how to replace these without the expander tool?

Is there a way to get around buying one?

I don't really want to buy a tool, or take the whole thing to a pro and be charged an arm and leg ($60/hr)

H.

Yes, You can do it without a special tool. Its a pain. Use the bellows glue.

I never use an expander tool. Not that hard at all. Make sure to have clamps in right location as per manual, and use the bellows cement.

Thanks for the replies...

Guess I'll find out shortly!

Just watch the news..If you hear of a gimbal making it into low earth orbit, then you'll know I couldn't get the bellows on!

H.

Soak bellows in hot water ( almost boiling ) for about 30 minutes. Install as soon as you take them out of the water.

May sound "duh', but you dry them off first right?

The glue wouldn't stick well if you didn't or does it matter?

H.

Yes dry them first, usually, by the time you take 'em from the kitchen to the backyard their dry anyway. You may want to wear gloves if you can't stand the heat, you won't touch them for long anyway because they will slip right on. Make sure you have the clamps in position.
