Boat identification please

Hello I've just picked up a 1996 Bayliner Capri with a force 50 engine and I'm trying to identify the boats model number can anyone please help me? Below I have included a picture of the boat.

Hello all. New to the forum. I have just picked up a 1996 Bayliner Capri. Trying to figure out what the boat model number is so that I can search for service manuals and parts if anyone can assist I would appreciate that. I have included a picture of the boat below thank you

Compare the length of yours to those listed here

I'd bet it's a 16ftr +/-, which is rated for a 75hp motor.

Did the boat come w/ a title/registration?

The boat may be listed as a 1996 but I doubt it. The engine is a pre-Mercury Force--that would be prior to 1994 I suspect that is the 14 foot Capri which was rated for and always came equipped with a Force 50. It was a package deal from Brunswick--the same company that makes mercury engines and Maxxum boats. It is a very small boat and not much use for more than a Sunday ride for two people.

Jbcurt, I put my post in the wrong forum the first time that only has 3 posts in 2 months. I put it in the correct spot afterwards. The boat is 14 feet. Sorry I forgot to mention it. Frank are you saying this boat isn't 1996 if it is the 14 ft you speak of? What do you suspect the model number is?

What are the last two numbers of the serial number. It can be found upper right on the transom.

Looks like its a 1988 Capri. Info here:

The 1500 Capri was spec'd for a 50hp, and is listed as 14.67ft.

Thanks for the boat info the guy may have told me wrong accidently when I asked for the year. He is a good friend and I was getting the boat either way I only paid 150 bucks
