Car wax would be fine,get all the water stains and gunk off the boat first though.I used spray 9 and a mild non abbrasive pad to do this,works good.

Sure, you can use car wax on your boat, as long as you are using Collinite 885 Fleetwax on your car.<br /><br />Not really kidding much about that either. Collinite 885 is far and away the best wax made and although it is advertised for use with planes and boats it works just fine on cars too. It has the longest life of any wax I've ever used and the greatest gloss too.
