how can I identify the make of the carb on my 3.0 mercruiser, cant find a brand or number plate?
maybe you guys can help with my running problem? just bought the boat, 18ft sea ray w/3.0 130hp I/O 1989.
idles rough and when the throttle is pushed the engine wants to die out, sometimes if you push the throttle slow enough it will keep going, if it is pushed fast it quits right away.
the other day i took it out and it ran ok for about 10 mins then started to surge and quit...would not start back up and had to be towed in. i noticed that if i let it sit between trying to start it it would want to start but didnt, after i towed it in and trailered it home it started? have previously added dry gas and changed plugs, sorry for the long post but didnt know how else to describe the problem, any help would be greatly appreciated
