I have been sitting here wondering how one adjusts multiple carbys on a outboard.I know how to do one but when I went outside and attempted to perform it on a, in my case a Yamaha 200 hp 1999
triple carby it seemed to be rather difficult.
OH by the way I am referring my question with regards to idle mixture.

thanks in advance

andy

I would say very carefully, with a repair manual in hand. Its surely something I wouldn't want to mess with.

Are you sure you need to adjust the mixture, and not just the idle speed?

I would check the manual for specifics first. Basically, you would set the idle mixture screws all at the same number of manual recommended turns out from lightly seated. Then you would enrichen or lean the mixtures an equal amount on each carb (say 1/8 turn each) depending on how the engine ran. The important thing is not to go jerking one carb all around before you get to the next. Most 2-strokes should be adjusted for best idle then enrichened about 1/8 turn for a smoother transition to the mains and easier cold starts.
