Check out the pipes on this outboard

I have never seen anything like these pipes on this chrysler outboard. All I can say is that it must sound like crap. Like on of those fourbangers with the staight pipes.

That's a race 135. Very loud! Law enforcement will be wanting to chat with any operator running it. There is also a big problem awaiting casual captains. They blow head gaskets during extended low rpm operation. It's in the port timing, so there is nothing that can be done about it, except run it fast. That's what they're made for.

Good Lord..never heard of "Dry Stacks"..??
Look what we did 40 years ago...and tuning the exhaust on a 2 stroke will darn near double (well, sounded like it anyway!) the HP as compared to what goes out the bottom..I think its cool.. And a friend in 1965 also raced A MERCURY 6 INLINE BLOCK WITH STACKS OUT THE SIDE IN A DRAGBIKE...YEP, A FREAKING MOTORCYCLE..WHAT A SOUND!!. RULES SUCK, INNOVATION RULES (WELL, AT ONE TIME BEFORE SCUMBAG LAWYERS SAW MONEY IN BEING SIMPLY ALIVE, AND MADE LIVING A CRIME.)
