I have a 1997 Yamaha 40 hp (model 40MSHV) that is a tiller model / pull start / no tilt and trim but is a very nice engine. I want to convert it to remote control and I need the part numbers for the parts to connect the throttle cable and shift cable to the outside of the engine.<br /><br />I found a part number on the yamaha web page (steering guide attachment kit, part no. 63D-61350-00-00) that should allow me to connect remote steering to this engine.<br /><br />But, I am not sure which parts are needed to hook up the throttle and shift cables.<br /><br />Can anyone help me?<br /><br />Thanks, Richard.
