Does someone have a procedure for decarbing a EFI engine. It seem like every thing i read here is for carborated engines. Could you stray deep creep into each port of the throttle body while the engine is running?

I failed to mention that the engine is a four stroke

thats a yamaha with a black dress on.
easiest way to decarb it is mix a solution of 2 oz ring free per gallon of fuel in a portable tank, run about 3 gallons through the engine.
why ya think it needs a decarb?

I don't know if it needs decarbed or not. Viewing the tops of the pistons through the spark plug holes, I can see deposits of something on them, so I thought it might be a good idea to decarb. I have just acquired this engine and do not know its history.

Thanks for your reply

I agree with Rodbolt quickkleen or ringfree, but if you just aquired the engine I would worry about complete service with impeller before you decarb.
Those are good motors, Park Service had one with over 2000 hrs and most of those people had no idea what a boat was. Never had any problems except for a few "shorts to ground" between the helm and the seat.
