Eagle Magna II plus

Eagle magna II plus(sonar) fish finder. Just picked this unit up complete. Are these units any good?<br />It say's it will give you depth,water temp, speed , and fish id. This is my first boat and fish finder and am curious. I have been told this is a good item. Any comments are welcomed.<br />Thanks<br />Richard

Although you have an older unit, they are quite good. I had a Eagle Magna II (not the "plus") and it performed very good. I sold it to a friend two years ago and he still uses it. Read the manual carefully and you should have no problems.<br />Happy fish finding. DuPont

The Eagle Magna II Plus was a good unit. I have used both the Magna II plus and the Magna III plus. Currently you can not obtain service on the Magna II plus. If it breaks it is done. Also the connectors from the transducer and the power cable will not connect to the magna III so once the II is done you cannot just switch over to the III without replacing all of the cables. For this reason I'm looking for an old Magna II currently.

I have a Magna Plus II that I am looking to get rid of since I just bought a new Humminbird fishfinder/gps.
This Unit is in excellent shape comes with all the hardware to mount the transducer and speed/temp wheel, all cords and electrical wiring. This unit worked without a flaw when I removed it from my boat this spring.
The only thing I do not have for it is the mounting bracket and the owners manual(both items miss placed)
I am looking to get $70 for this unit and will accept paypal.

You need the optional speed/temp transducer for the speed and water temp function. These are good units.

Yes, thank you for that. I do have that transducer. Just can't find the head unit, misplaced it??? after a divorce.

I have a Magna II plus and need the cables. My father in law used it very little and tossed the cables but I have the main unit itself. If your cables and sonar device are good I would be interested in buying the whole unit you are selling
