engine problem

I have a 1997 Yamaha 200hp. The engine starts & idles perfect. However when you throttle up it bogs down and wont take the gas...it has done this intermittantly, but is getting worse now. The spark plugs only have a few hours on them. Someone suggested the coils might be going bad. All suggestions would be appreciated !

It has all of the signs of a fuel restriction. Is it a carb motor?

Yes it is a carb motor.All carbs were rebuilt with less than 50 hours on them.

Check the low pressure fuel pumps.

check the fuel pumps and drain the carbs. if you have any trash in the fuel system the time since last overhaul is irrelevent.<br /> good luck and keep posting.<br /> also test the ign system for proper spark.
