I am about to receive a Bayliner boat that has a force 50 engine on it it should be in 1986 model my question is if this is a two stroke premix engine or a four-stroke engine. I was reading that this is a two stroke engine with a 50 to 1 ratio mix and I just wanted to make sure before I start it. :)

My main question however is what cold cranking amp battery do I need to use

Yes it is a 2 cycle engine and yes it uses 50-1 ratio mix. Easy measurement is 1 pint TWC-3 oil to 6 gallons gasoline (actually 48-1). Do not start it out of the water or without cooling muffs.

As to the battery--I don't know I just buy a marine starting battery that looks about the size of a car battery.
