I know this has probably been talked about over and over and over, but I haven't seen any definitive answers so here goes...again... I have a 1976 40 HP Johnson OB that I am now finishing up the rebuild on. And I am installing new fuel lines (of course). The normal tank to fuel inlet fitting as well as inlet fitting to fuel pump and from fuel pump to carb are the usual size fuel tubing sizes. However this engine has two bypass outlets that go from the side of the engine to the lower carburetor side for lower main bearing lubrication (I'm guessing). Those two lines are about 1/8" in size and seems the parts store (auto parts stores) don't carry fuel line down to that size. I know there is fuel lines used for yard trimmers and chainsaws and such that are that size. Is that a workable option to use those lines or is there other lines that would be better...? The auto parts stores does carry vacuum lines in those sizes, but I wasn't sure those would hold up with fuel mixture going through them. Any input or other ideas?
