Whenever I fill up the 35 gal tank on my inboard Bayliner, the only way I know it's near full is a sudden spray of fuel that comes out of the vent fitting on the transom. The fuel nozzle doesn't auto-shutoff, so I don't have any warning.<br />Is there any sort of check valve that I can install on that vent hose to stop fluid but still allow proper venting? What about installing a valve that I can close on this line until the tank is full, then open it up? The fitting is about two feet higher then the level of the tank, and I can't locate it much higher. I am getting plenty tired of wiping my wax job off with every fill up...
