ok fellas, I know its been asked before but in light detail. I got a 40hp force outboard and want to install a clear base separator. with this being carbed will it pull through with no issues and is 10 micron the norm. had issue with this recently and was in the middle of nowhere. baad day. any tips or opinions appreciated. I do run startron and possibly got bad gas but need to eliminate this from future. thx guys

For the longest time (being a cheap person) I used a salvaged air water separator from an industrial air line. It worked well for a few years, but eventually the polycarbonate bowl was damaged by gasoline and I stopped using it.

The fuel pump on your engine will output between 2 and 6 PSI so inlet suction should be the same. I suspect that it will do well with 10 microns.
