Not quite sure if this is the right topic, but here goes. After you have unlocked certain maps from Garmin on Mapsource, what do you do next? Sorry if its a stupid question but i am perplexed.
You have the Mapsource software yes? Just plug in your Garmin to a serial port on the back of the CPU and click the "Download to GPS" button on the screen. It will ask you what you want to download. Maps, waypoints, tracks, etc... And you're done.
I had to select the areas that I wanted to download to mine. I only have 56mg on my GPSMAP60c, so it required me to select the areas I wanted. There is a button on the toolbar at the top, to the left of the magnifying glass. Click on that button to activate it (although my mapsource starts with that button on as a default) and then click and drag over the areas you want to upload to your unit.<br /><br />Follow Rat's instructions after that to upload them to your unit.
