graph?

Recently bought a skeeter have'nt fished since 1995. At that time i used a lowrance x-70,now what i would like too know is what would be the equal sonar device today? thxs!

The technology has improved so much in the past few years I would think anything you buy today would be advanced from what you have in '95.

Oh this is going to be another long thread.
The x70 was a nice unit in it's day.
I have cheap units on my boats as I am only interested in depth for crabbing. I am becoming interested in bottom composition so I need to learn this feature on my units. These cheapies run under $100.
If you're enamored with x70, they can be found used.
Otherwise, be prepared to go through a ton of units with a ton of features.

The Vexilar is not cheap, but if your going to drill a hole in a boat the Vexilar is worth it.

I had a Lowrance X75 for 7 years. Flawless graph. The new Lowrance graphs in my opinion aren`t anywhere near as good as their older units.

$474.00 for a graph that doesn`t work right is crazy. Thats what I got with the Lowrance X510c. The vexilar is a great unit.
