So, took the boat out today, ignoring the "scattered showers" on the marine forecast. It was beautiful, water was 82 degrees, and the storm blew right past us, not a drop of rain!! So we go to leave a couple hours later, when the big storm is headed our way. I try to turn the key, and it spins a complete 360!! No problem, I'll just tighten the screw to hold it in, as it has done this twice lately. Well, then I guess the connections went bad, turn the key, no click. So, after some quick on-the-water repair, I fix that and get the boat running. We had some rough 4-5' seas on the way in, but managed alright. All is well. .

WELL THEN. . . We get back to the boat ramp. Mind you, the boat ramp has a grass parking lot, and it has been raining every day for the past few weeks. So, this means that it is now a mud parking lot. . I go to get the truck, and cannot find it! I hit the Panic button, and this truck covered in mud starts honking. That's funny, when we came to the boat ramp my truck was spotless. . Some idiot thought it would be funny to do doughnuts in the parking lot, AND COMPLETELY COVERED MY TRUCK IN MUD!!!:mad: I couldn't even see out of the windows, the entire front, hood, headlights, fog lights, and entire right side were covered in mud!! Apparently he had just left, as the people who just loaded their boat told me they saw it happen.

My question is WHY THE HECK WOULD YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT?! I always volunteer to help everyone, have not ticked anyone off, and will give plenty of clearance to fishing boats and kayaks. Nobody was mad at me, I can assure you, but what is the thrill of covering a white truck with mud?! I apologize for the venting, but it took me 2 hours of scrubbing and all the mud still isn't off!! Believe me, when I see this "character" I am not gonna be very nice in asking him why it happened. Maybe when he checks himself out of the hospital I'll ask him why he did it.

Horrible I've been led to believe there are some real characters in FLA, tho idiots seem to be everywhere.

Your sterndrive rebuild turned out good I'm guessing ?

that's a sad story. what a bummer.
some folks just got no respect for others. the problem being that they have no respect for themselves either... this leads to crummy behavior like this i think. i blame whoever raised that person as a child as to not teaching them respect... it seems that as the population continues to increase, this lack of teaching is on the increase... to bad for everyone..
