Bought this boat from a family friend. Has been kept in the family since brand new. Never have had any issues with it!

Bought it begining of June, ran great! No problems what so ever. (took out about 4 times)

Took the boat out in July, hard to start, but running ok. Brand new battery would die when radio was left on 10 minutes. We just would undo the battery once we got to party cove, replug everything when getting ready to leave

August took it out, motor was bogging down horribly. We just couldnt get going, then all the sudden it sounded like water was rushing into the bottom of the boat. It was a super loud thumping sound and you could feel it on the floor thumping.

Drain plug was in, and no water was coming out of the boat when we took it out. We replaced spark plugs and a fried voltage regulator.

Took it out on Sunday and although the motor started right up beautifully, the same exact thing was happening. Also this time primer ball wouldnt get hard. But, again Bogged down motor, super loud thumping noises from under the floor boards. Took the boat out of the water and some water was coming out of our ancient drain plug. It was definetly not enough water to cause the sound though.

Haven't check bellows, carbs, bilge pump/livewell yet. We were just so pissed we had to get out of the water and let it be for a while. Also we did get a new primer ball and found one of the fuel lines was cracked so replaced that too.

HELP

Sounds like the clutch dog might be going bad??
Shifting slowly into gear can cause this.
Bad shift cable?

Drain the oil and see if there is an excessive amount of metal shavings.
Does it do it in reverse?

That's probably the clutch dog.

You can remove the propshaft and inspect the dog.
Post some pics when it's apart.

I wouldn't try running it anymore.
