I have a 1989 15hp force outboard that runs well but the exhaust seems a little cloudy.
Could it be the fuel or is it an adjustment with the mixture?
Any help would be appreciated.

Dont know that motor so this will be a little generic. The carb could be flooding a little.
The fuel pump diaphram may have a hole in it.
You should be running 50:1 mix. 16 ozs. to a 6 gallon tank.
Im assuming the carb has fixed jets so they are not out of adjustment.

I have the service manual for the motor it just doesn't give any trouble shooting info.
Like I mentioned the motor runs great.
If I got the mix off a little with the gas could that cause it to smoke like that?

They do tend to smoke, as they aren't as sophisticated or high tech as other brands. You should be able to run with the fuel mixed from 35:1 to 60:1 without any real harm. But stick with the recommended 50:1. Thats 2.5 ounces of oil for every gallon of gas.
