Fresno was home for 15 years and then I moved here to a little mountain town east of Fresno which has been home for the last 6 years. No more city life for me. I'm home. :D

New Hampshire is a good place to buy big money items, like cars and boats.

The reason so many people have homes in Mass and weekend places in NH are because their is no money to be made in NH. The average person can make alot more money on MA, NJ or even most parts on New York.

My dad looked at homes in NH, he was looking into buying a weekend home on the water. He realized real fast that its a trap, once you buy a house in NH you can never sell it for a profet. They don't have a sales tax, but they have much higher income tax's and higher property taxs then everywhere else.

I'll stay in MA, thank you.

I boated on Pine Flat lake from the early 70's till 1988 when I moved to the PNW. I owned a Gregor Octapon 10 x 30 patio boat from '79 until I moved. Broke my heart to sell that boat and leave that lake. Had many a good time there. We used to drive up from LA every other weekend.

I should have been crying here. Parting with a cherished craft at a favorite place

This is the last ride b4 turning over the keys. For all you paranoid oil seekers, notice wake from 9 y/o 115 hp Evinrude, w/original sparkplugs, running 100:1 Amsoil synthetic 2 stroke oil.

Tylerin, you sound like my 16 y/o son. Yeah, that was 1988. I outgrew them for a while. Now I'm back to buff and I'm going to have to rustle around and see if I can find them again. :D

I liked Bass Lake too, although I didn't get there much. It was prettier but smaller and I was kind of anchored to PF with all my hardware. I learned to ski at BL, behind a home built Glen-L semi-vee ski boat with a 40 hp Johnson O/B. I won't tell you what year that was.

Ryan T.-
Thank you for taking the time to expain a few things about New Hampshire. That helps me to understand why they picked that state.
Boomyal-
Pine Flat Lake is our favorite place to boat, fish and play during the summer months. It helps to be 45 minutes away.
Thanks for the post and cute shorts. Hee hee :D

Hey Boomyal-
I recognize that little hill behind that first picture of
you're beautiful boat. That must be Deer Creek Launch Ramp. Am I
right? We lauch there regularly.
I did notice your sexy legs, but I did notice one tanner than the other. Been there, done that. Hee hee. But the bright, yellow shorts were what I noticed. They happen to match my bikini. ;) ( Sorry Boys, it's in the drawer until warmer water; June?. :( April? ;) Hoping. :D :(
Hubby and I can't wait until the rainy season subsides a little( cabin fever?) Yep, we got it!.
It looks like we're gonna have a good rainy year. Reminds us of La Nina. Remember her? Sure is acting like her.
No complaints, just itching for a good fresh trout dinner and fun being on the water, even if it's cold wind through my hair. Oh well; be patient Bassy. It's windy and raining right here and right now. I'm happy with that. But hoping. :D
Bassy

Hey Ryan, the largest influx of people to NH come to us from, guess where...Mass. They just had a piece on the news about it, 200,000 people in the last 5 years. We do not have an income tax, and the property taxes are only high in the towns that border or are close to, guess where...Mass. I wish more people thought like your dad.

As far as the libertarians, I haven't heard anything about it. NH is pretty conservative, we are really pissed that Vermont and Mass are verrrry liberal. They won't be staying long, but if they do, Minnesota or Montana is where I'll be looking.

It's always greener in the other persons back yard till ya get there.
Bought a canoe paddle in N.H. saved on the tax but the same brand item in Mass. was $3.00 cheaper.
Mainers always called us the tax state 5%. What I can't figure is Maine had an 8% sales tax on everything for the longest time and now I think they pay 6% Just could never fiqure why they call us taxachusetts.
" There's no better place then CAPE ANN Massachusetts "

Cape Ann is pretty awesome Fly Rod. My inlaws have a cottage in Annisquam (sp?) right next to the channel. Awesome sunsets, great fishing and I am married to an only child!!

Hey Ralph!
Since when has Bosston been on the south shore ??
Glousta has always been on the north shore. People just misuse the pronounciation.
Only two types of people want to live on the north shore; "those that do and thems that wish they could."

NEW Hampshire motto is LIVE FREE OR DIE. It speaks for itself. Great place to live and Vacation. Been there many times. There is property tax and dividends tax. Property tax is mostly based on education (schools).

Re: Hey, N.H., What's up?

gaugeguy ,

I'm glad your happy in NH, but I still feel the same.

Let me give you an example:
You have to choose between two propertys, whatever one you pick will be given to you, for free.

200yards of land un in the booneys in NH, and other is in MA, ten mins outside of Boston, which one are you going to pick? Unless your retarded your going to take the one in Mass, Its worth about twice as much, maybe more.

I may be stero typeing alittle here, for forgive me. Except for people who live on the water, NH is for people who don't have the money to live in MA. Look at all the people who live there and work here, there you go.

I think the people who run the start on NH are freaken morons too.

My dad and I got stopped at the hampton tolls because I didn't have a seatblet on. I had it on untill we got to the toll bouth, and I took it off to open the glove box and get my dad a dollor. There was a NH state cop standing right next to us looking at us. He stopped us and called it a "child restrant" because I was under 18, or maybe it was 16, I forget. Anyway, my dad told him why I had it off and he said "I don't beleave you" my dad lost him temper and fliped on him, pretty much told the cop to do screw himself. After a long ordeal the cop have us a $30 ticket.

$30 is nothing, but my dad wasn't going to pay it over his dead body. He drove back there and took it to coart, and won. Want to know someing else, the friggen coart house didn't even have a public bathroom, whats up with that!!!?? The lady at the desk suggested I take a leak in the woods behind the building (which I did;) ) but still, the start sucks IMO. I hate haveing to drive threw it on the way to my favorit state, Maine. Did I mention that many of the cars on the highway that are driveing like a$$ 's have NH 'live free or die" plate...........
