If you are new here, you may wonder about how to get useful help quickly. Here are some ideas from old-timers.

1. State your problem/question in the Topic.
2. Don't use all capitals. It is the net equivalent of yelling and it annoys many.
3. Be sure your topic is really Boating. Post engine questions in the Engines and Motors Forum.
4. Don't clutter up your topic or post with, "HELP!!" or "PLEASE!!". We know you want help. Yelling at us is irritating.
5. Give us all of the information you have on the first post. What make, model, year and history?
6. Post all comments on the same topic as replies to your thread.
7. Don't post a new question on someone else's thread. We may not see it.

Other ideas will be added to this post, so read them all! :)
