HPDI or OX66

I am buying an '04 boat and can't decide on OX66 or HPDI. What have you heard on the +'s and -'s of both?<br /><br />I guess my main concern is, is the 2004 225hp HPDI reliabilty, fuel economy, torque and top end worth the added $$$ ($1,500)?<br />What I am looking for is great reliabilty and performance and then good fuel mileage. I will probably average 100 hours a year.<br /><br />Apparently Yamaha introduced a new lower unit this year on the HPDI with a low water pick-up and nose cone.<br /><br />The boat is an '04 Majek Extreme bay boat made in Corpus Christi Texas.<br /><br />Some people say one thing, some people say another.<br /><br />Please help!!!<br /><br />WR-<br /><br /><br />P.S. hello<br /> I like the EFI. would be nicer to have carbs. most direct injections are a tad to complex for my likeing.<br /> good luck and keep posting
