I'm sure this is a common one but didn't really find anything usefull when I was searching. I took my 17 ft Ranger bass boat to a Lake at a time I probably shouldn't have as everybody had their massive wake board boats out from sun up to sun down and the lake was pretty rough for my boat. Somewhere in the choas of getting around the lake my fish finder stopped displaying and only displayed two 1/4" bars down the screen. I unplugged in and plugged in back in when i got back to the dock but it wouldn't power on after that..
I've checked for voltage at the base and I'm getting a good 12.x volts. I've unplugged and re-plugged several times. I've even unscrewed the cover to see if anything noticeable was fried and smelled and no luck. Any ideas before I have to go spend a few hundred bucks on another, this one is 5-6 years old and really not used that much.
