Re: idle question

I assume you changed the condenser and rotor as well. What's the timing set at?

not the condenser got the button i always thought that a condenser would just go bad and no havent checked timing yet those are just the main things to get the idle right [correct] i was wondering if there was anything electrical or anything that i didnt no about being new to boats an all

Re: idle question

A tune up kit for that ignition is cheap. Get to it when you can. Set dwell, set timing 4-6 BTDC probably.

Re: idle question

Definitely read the stickies at the top of the OMC forum. Get a manual for your engine/drive (eBay).

Re: idle question

Something is not right with the idle circuit on the carb you just rebuilt.
