Hello all. I realize these two Lowrance depth finders/sounders or fish locators are not remotely new, but I was given them and supposedly they both work perfectly. I'll know more when I get the associated power and transducer cablings in. One is gray scale (LMS-480m) and the other a color screened version (LMS-332c). They both are supposed to support temperature and GPS capabilities with plotting capabilities and memory. I was just wondering if anybody has ever dealt with either of them and could provide some more info and issues. Both are in amazingly great condition and look like new. But the Lowrance home site doesn't even list them in any way for support info. So any info will be greatly appreciated indeed. Tell me the good AND bad about them if there is any... Thanks again!

Thanks, Teamster, for your reply. When I get the cables and transducer in, I plan to test them both and if they work as proposed, I don't care if there are ten years old....and I don't think the fish care either!

I have the LMS-332C or one that looks exactly like it. I don't know my model number off the top of my head. Depending on the exact model you have, you need an external GPS antenna module that hooks up with a NMEA-2000 network.

Yes bruceb58, Supposedly those cables and transducer and hopefully the GPS antenna is coming in. I was given both these units and my son told me he ordered in all the cables and such. So I assuming the GPS antenna is also. I see the GPS antennas are on the expensive side though. Seems a pro fishing friend of my son's had these and went to new units and gave them to my son. So I guess there are considered third hand units now... But from what I've seen, they look pretty good on their capabilities. But Lowrance doesn't list anything that far back for support material and manuals. What I've been able to locate was internet searches. That was why I asked on here about them... You still using yours, and do you like it?

I still use mine. I have a few chart cards for it and also a fuel flow meter which shows fuel usage in MPG because it is integrated with the speed I am going.

Ha thanks bruceb58, if yours is still work great, that gives me some hope that these will work too. My son said he has powered them up and everything looks perfect. But we'll see. Since one of them will be going on my project tri-hull boat, it would seem to fit in with the older boat and motor as well... Just looking for something nice to use to go fishing. Hopefully this spring spawning season...
