WOW I have never posted in this forum before.

My wife and I decided to frequent a sandwich shop in our area for lunch today. After arriving at the Greek shop, I noticed two ladies that were sitting by the front window and the first lady's phone rang. She picked up her phone and instantly started talking. It wasn't five seconds later the other lady's phone went to ringing as well, even though it was the sound of a girl laughing very loudly. That was her actual ring tone...okayyyy. Well those two ladies talked on the phones for the entire time we were there. We ordered drinks (tea of course) and even made our sandwich orders and waited for them to be made. They still were on their phones. We received the sandwiches and slowly and quietly ate them and finished and those two ladies were still talking on their phones. Odd both were looking out the window but not at each other. As they talked they adjusted their talking volume because the other lady was talking so loud that they increased their level to speak to whomever they were talking to. I made the statement to my wife that those two ladies met each other for lunch and neither were talking to the other but spend their entire time talking loudly on their phones while ignoring each other. As we finished lunch and paid and was leaving they finally stopped their phone conversations and were getting up to leave also... WOW such a nice "I'll met you for lunch" date for them both...SMH! :facepalm:

They were talking to each other-just via phone.

I've had the same experience as you, these phones and the priorities of some users is laughable to me. Many folks think phones are more important than an actual human being sitting across from them. To each his own I guess, those two must be on the same page.

QUOTE=TilliamWe;4287602]That's exactly what I was thinking! :)[/QUOTE]

They had to, they would be clueless as to who the other person was, unless listened to via a one centimeter earphone.

:confused::facepalm:

I have witnessed teenagers, sitting across a table from each other-Silent-but texting each other. Duh!!!:eek:

When confronted, I got nothing but blank stares. They admitted it. We are in trouble folks.
