Is 'Johnson engine good ?

Dear all,<br /><br />I have found a second hand boat. Its engine is "250 Hp X 1 'Johnson' Outboard Petrol". The ship is "Four Winns 245 Vista" and launched at 1992. Its length is 24.5 feet. The cost around US $15384.<br /><br />Is Johnson engine good or bad ? Easy finding parts to maintenance or not. Is the cost fair?<br /><br />I am looking for your professional advise with many thanks.

Howdy Tengirl.<br /><br />The Johnson engine was a good one 13 years ago. If it has been well cared for it should still be a good engine. In the US it is easy to find parts and service.<br /><br />I can't help you with the boat or price.<br /><br />Good luck.

Be very careful! Used boats require careful inspection of hull, transom etc.<br /><br />I am far from professional advice, but you are wise to continue to seek it.<br /><br />Good luck!
