For those of you experienced in carb repairs and maintenance, does anybody know what the difference is between a jet size 67D and a 68? Reason I ask is because I had to drill out the high speed jet in a Johnson 40 HP carb bowl and use an easy-out to remove it. So I ordered a 67D jet per IPD and parts list for my ?76 engine and I received a 68 jet. The old one has a 67D stamped on it and the new one has 68 stamped on it. I measured the new one with a wire drill bit shank and it is indeed a .067? sized jet. My next size up was .070? wire drill size and since the .067? size shank fit perfectly I know anything bigger would not go. So what does a 67D measure?? I know it will work without any problems, I just was wondering?
