I have put in a new sidewalk in front of my house and I need to reslope the landscape. Right now i figure i will have about 8 inches of drop over a span of 16 feet. Is this enough or No?

Re: Landscape Slope

That should be fine for drainage and not a danger...... just be advised that whatever you choose you need to compact it. With the way the ground settles you might get low spots.

A 1" drop for 2' is probably a happy medium of appearance, drainage, and walking comfort. Did you work out those dimensions or did you just get lucky?:D

Thanks Guys for you help. I did not set the numbers but, my contractor did. Also I will be compacting it with a roller. So I should be good to go. Thanks again for your help.
