So after months of trying to get my omc working properly i finally threw my gears out. Trying to get input on which route to go. you can get the SE109 replacement lower unit for $900 or i can get the converstion kit and the whole SE116 outdrive for $2000. Would the SE109 solve my shift problems? or should i just switch the whole outdrive. i understand they are both clutch dog systems, but I haven't read about any of the cobra problems with the SE drives.
