I have just purchased a used 97' mercury 9.9 hp motor. My problem is I hauled it wrong (horizontal) and got gas in the emergency kill switch and since I've done this it doesn't throttle right and is hard to start. When I give it throttle it bogs down and won't go any faster. Its a bear to start but once started it starts up easy when shutt off. I didn't get the manual for it so any help would be appreciated. Could I have ruinded the kill switch?
