hello,I have an older shifter on a 73 merc 500 thunderbolt...when I got the boat controls were apart on floor.after tons of work to get the boat all back together,Im having shift issues. Motor starts in gear,Grinds a little going into forward.makes buzzing noise,pull into reverse and nothing.ive fixed a few of these this one has me scratchin my head,,any videos or advice.or diagrams would help thanks .heres a pic of it.
