Minnkota trolling motor

The shaft on my trolling motor is very sticky hard to get up and down any suggestions on a lubricant to spray on it or any other quick fix would be appreciated. Thanks Jeff

i had the same thing happen to me .. take a nylon scouring pad to it.. then spray on slicone spray ..
