Is it ok to add a different brand of BIA certified TC-W two cycle oil to a reservoir half full of Yamalube? I was looking through some notes I took in an outboard engine repair class years ago, and I had written down "don't mix oils". Too late. I just added a pint of Citgo TC-W two cycle to my engine's internal oil tank. Should I dump the whole thing and start over now? I know this question sounds dumb, but I don't want to make an expensive mistake.

The chances of what you did causing any problems is very remote at best. I am not aware of any oil now days that is not compatable with other oils. If it were not I would think it would say on the bottle, IN GREAT BIG LETTERS!
