Hey guys , For those that have been following my troubles can check out thread here .. http://www.iboats.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=24;t=010958

I was able to drop oil pan in bildge yesterday without much trouble and went straight for the rod bearing caps. I loosened up #1 and the motor spun by hand quite easily. What had happend is i had mixed up #1 and #3's rod bearing caps and you know what happend. It took me a while to find out #3 was the one that got mixed up btw. Once i got that done i torqued everything down like the book says and now she spins over pretty easily with plugs out. Didn't get a chance to fire her yesterday due to it was pretty late by the time i hung the outdrive and today is Moms day.

Thanks for the help guys!!!! I only wish i had checked those rod bearings 2 weeks ago instead of checking every elec connection in the boat.

Thanks again,

Big-E

P.S: i was exspecting the rod bearings to be shot but they were ok.. Guess that was due to the motor not making many rev's the way it was!
