Re: neat boat names

I've posted this one before, but it's still my favourite boat name (the boat in question had to be renamed after NZ Coastguard heard the owner identifying his craft on the VHF radio...) :confused:

"MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY" :eek: (imagine the confusion...)

Fair dinkum, this woman called the name out to the Coastguard on the radio - ORGASM.
Imagine the radio talk -

"Auckland Coastguard, this is ORGASM ZMV1234, we have arrived at our destination, we'll give you a call when we move next!........"
Ross

Re: neat boat names

LOL - those fellows at Coastguard must scratch their heads at times with all the wierd stuff they have to listen to...

Ross - maybe it was the same crew who received the following transmission;

"Auckland Coastguard, this is MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY ZXL9999 departing Devonport on our way to Great Barrier Island for a day's fishing and a picnic lunch, over."

Those poor guys - they do a great job, despite all the rubbish they have to put up with... :D

Crab - no problem my friend - it's hard to keep up with all the previous posts as there are so many now.... Great minds think alike ;)

Re: neat boat names

...even better; Imagine how the skipper of MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY might have responded if he heard a "REAL" MAYDAY distress transmission... :eek:

"Yes... this is MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY reading you loud and clear sport.... so WHO ARE YOU and WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME...? - over" :cool:

:D
