I have never had a procraft but I would say go with what you can find...should be a long shaft motor for that fish and ski boat. I would try and stick with evinrude or johnson outboard...only reason I don't say merc is a lot of shops won't work on older mercs anymore because they are a pain but parts are still available for mercs and evinrude, johnson. It is all personal opinion when it comes to brands and things but I personally would go with the max horsepower because I like watersports and I like to get to my fishin' hole FAST!!!

I would go for a 150hp motor in the best condition you can find for a price you can afford. It will like the gas, but you don't have to go full throttle everywhere...... If you're going to pull a tube and such, I would definitely get a 150. If mainly fishing, I think you might be just as happy with a 115. Even with big motors like that, the more people in the boat, the slower you will go. If you're a big guy and your fishing partner is big as well, I'd get the 150hp even if for fishing.

Hi,

To work out the shaft length you need, measure your transom height where the motor would be placed. See the attached images (copied off onlineoutboards.com)
