need help on a trim problem

i took the boat out today to find that my trim would not go down and the trim motor work fine and i check to see if it had a lock but no lock. outboard motor is a force 125 on a bayliner boat, the trim was working ok until we put the boat in the water to find that it had a misfire so we took the boat back in to shore to raise the trim so we could take the spark plug out and check that it had great spark then we tryed bring the motor back down and it would not come down. again i did not see any lock on the trim at all,,can anyone help me on this thank u.:confused:

take loose the front bottom oil tube with bucket underneath to catch fluid. see if engine lowers. If not then something binding mechanically.
