Neutral switch for 2002 115 EFI

What I assume is the neutral safety switch is bad in my 2002 Mercury 4 stroke 115 EFI. The switch is in the motor and contacts the shift mechinism. Two questions is this called the neutral safety switch? Where can I get a new one. I can not find a part number for it.

I found the switch. Apparently there is no name for it. The part number is 879996a1.

its a shift position switch, has nothing to do with engine starting.
if your hunting for running issues go look someplace else.

neutral safety switch is located in the remote control box. What are your symptoms is it hard shifting out of gear?
