recently had a 1996 formula given to me, it has never had a trailer, I have been looking for 2 months for someone to haul it a couple hundred miles to my rented slip. posted ads on line, called dealers, tried everything. I never dreamed it would be this difficult to get a boat moved. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have also tried to find a used trailor with no luck. any ideas about finding used trailers.

Buy a trailer, rent a truck, move the boat. Return the truck, sell the trailer.

Put an shipping wanted ad on "USHIP.COM". Leave your dates flexible so someone can work out something so they're not running empty one way. It's your responsibility to check on the background of the shipper.

How big is the thing? Lots of trailers around here for bigger boats that people just keep in storage lots since they keep their boat in a slip. Shouldn't be too hard to rent one down here, don't know how it is where you're at.

Please describe the boat. I don't know what a "formula" might be. LOA? Beam? Weight? Location?

I can't imagine that you can't find someone to haul your boat, unless it's some sort of fishing trawler or something, and even then, someone would do it, if you're willing to pay enough.

So, fill in the information so we'll at least know what you're talking about.

My Uncle had a similar situation some up, and he called the dealer that supported his brand (Checkmate) and talked to the service manager who gave him a couple of names of people that have that size CMate, one of which he paid to go pick up his boat. Of course, be careful on the insurance, not sure how they worked all of that out, but I know they did something...
