Morning yall
I got a 1981 merc outboard 25 hp. Last weekend she ran great . Went to gout out this weekend (had a whole week of rain ) and she wont fire.
The starter went bad a few weeks ago so just been pull starting her. Every time you pull her the kill switch will shock you . I have a Quicksilver throttle set up .
Only thing i have noticed is there is a orange colored relay or "switch " below all the ignition wiring that looks kinda melted. it is like a 1.5 in squared piece. Looks like 2 studs each has wires goin to them and some kind of "black tar" that has melted out of the center.
Any ideas? This is my first boat and i am lost lol
