After I removed the oil sender from my Yam 90 to inspect it, I reinserted it into the plastic oil tank and put a wire tie around it in the groove the old one came out of. It has leaked slightly ever since. Is there a way to fix this?
This a common problem with this oil sender. Yamaha recommends to put a wire tie on the cover of the oil sender. That works about 20% of the time. If the sender still leaks after the wire tie trick You need to change the oil sender I think Yamaha has redesigned it because none of the new ones we install ever leak.
