omc cobra hydraulic cylinders

i have 1990 omc cobra with the 3.0l im having issues with the hydraulic cylinders staying up, how could you test these to see if they are bad or the pump, does anyone know if these are rebuildable

take them to a hydraulic shop and have them test the pump and the cylinders.
