Newbie here. Working 1974 270T (T for terrible?) in a chrysler V8 runabout. My understanding of the system is limited, but basically a hydraulic/electric single ram(?) tilt they used for 2 years. It works normal going up, at least to me. Dropping and it will shake everything, like it's low on fluid. The boat did sit for 5 years, so changed all the fluids (except the tilt) and everything looked perfect. Is it just a matter of working the tilt a couple times, or is there a problem. Thanks for any help. Ed

Anybody, bump. I think I'll just change the fluid and run it up and down a couple times, see what happens.

the bellows look to be in very good condition. Only ran the motor so far, haven't tried it in gear. Will play with it tomorrow.

forgot to mention and this might be important, is that the engine is off when lowering the unit. All the shakin is sitting on the trailer, tilt motor only.
