So i've always been able to c/p a pic from my facebook to here without issue as FB reduced the size to a level acceptable to post. Of course hotlinking is so old school and i like the big pic from posting directly into the post rather than linking to have to click on.

The pic i just tried to upload was 764kb so by any current standard was tiny.

there was a dude that had the same issue a couple three days ago but ted has been able to upload.

So, whats up?

Yry agaon here
I dunno what that means Joe šŸ™‚
I did try to post pix a while ago that I was told were to big so I give up , but later on after I found out I could crop pix I give that a go and it seemed to reduce the size far more than I expected ...like about a reduction from over 5mb to under 3mb but I only trimmed a bit of sky out of the pic ...only about ¼ of the original pic .
My old camera used to have a resize function where one option was to size for email etc . This ph doesnt ,and I dont know why some pix are way more mb than others ....unless its got something to do with zooming in before taking pic .....still learning 😁

I left that sentence alone - on the forum i used to have it was the game to figure out what the hell joe is saying. Interestingly, our resident kiwi usual was best at it.

FWIW - I usually reduce the size of my pic to around 1024 x 768 give or take. The size usually is about 250 - 500 KB.

If you’re using an iPhone make sure your picture setting is not on ā€œliveā€ I find that if I take pictures when live is switched on the files are to large.
If your setting looks like this you’re good to go.
