Spent allot of time with a buffer this summer Buffed her out and re pinstriped her. Tried 3 M s fiberglass restore . Too abrasive for my likeing and couldn't get that final shine.. hard to work with.
Then tried Starbrite fiberglass polish and color restorer.. That didn't ger er done either. not abrasive enough...didnt do it either. Then I had some stuff that I had bought to polish up my 77 Cutlass and tried that on the boat... Eureka !!! Its McGuire's Ultimate compound-- Happy Days. Easy to use no gritty feeling when rubbed between fingers. Used a random orbital buffer.. Started with the disposable blue applicator bonnets Gave it a few minutes with that. Then wiped the bulk of it off with a clean towel. Then followed with a terry cloth bonnet on buffer. and finally a wools lamb lookn, buffing pad. Then a coat of wax. I highly recommend it from my experience. Its a black bottle with a bright orange car hood on the front.
I wish I new how to put more then 5 pics on here so I could bore ya'all to tears. Stand by for some interior woodwork pics on another post.. Thx for lookn !!!
