I am repairing my tilt & trim motor on my 88 Johnson 50 bass boat. I bought a new Motor with reservoir 9-18191. It did not come with the actual pump which was connected at the bottom with four screws. I spent some time looking for a diagram before I gave up and just tried to fix it. (My manual has an entire chapter on tilt & trim, but nothing on actual repair 
) It turned out to be as simple as removing the screws and then screwing the bottom onto the new part.
So if anyone else is contemplating this repair I found it to be very easy. The entire system cost about $400+ on line. I found the Motor & Reservoir for $311, free shipping.
