Well since i got my motor to fire she should make her madine voyage on the lake this saturday. I allready broke in the cam by running motor at 2000 rpms for 20 mins. The machine shop stated for me to drive boat normally and no need to really break in motor. I find this hard to belive as the last motors i redid were cars and machine shops allways stated to just drive easy for 1st 500 miles or so. Is this differnt for boat motors ? I know not to allow it to idle for hours at a time as well as keeping her at 3000 rpms for hours either. Is it safe to go ahead and take her to max speed right away or just tool around 3-4 k for the 1st so many hours?

any advice appreicated.

thanks,

Big-E
